Behind The Music | BIO

Founded in 1999, Liquid Ginger is one of the Southeast’s premiere original rock bands. Instrumental overtones of Pop, Dance, Alternative, and Classic Rock, and lead vocals with hints of R&B, and Contemporary Pop and Rock, are combined to give this band a distinctive, soulful flavor. Liquid Ginger transposes these many genres into an eclectic mix of high-energy songs that appeal to a wide variety of audiences. Liquid Ginger’s live shows are an affective avalanche of high energy, consisting of emotionally charged original tunes and a wide assortment of carefully selected cover songs, making the group a sought-after commodity in their hometowns of Savannah and Atlanta, GA.

Voted Favorite Rock Artist of 2003 and 2004 in Southeast Georgia’s Connect Magazine and was voted Favorite Band in 2005 and 2006 by Savannah Magazine, this talented group has performed on the main stage at Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival annually since the band’s inception in 1999. They have headlined at Savannah’s 2001 Octoberfest celebration, 2003, 2004 and 2005 Tybee Beach and Water Festival, Tybee Summerfest 2000 and the Beaufort Water Festival in 2001 and 2004.

Liquid Ginger also continues a busy club performance and private event schedule throughout the Southeast. The band’s well-received debut CD “Can You Hear Me?” was released in August 2000. Their regional hit “Never Be Heather” has had airplay on Savannah’s Q105.3, Z102.1, 106.3 and Atlanta’s 96Rock.

Liquid Ginger released its second CD February 2005 to incredibly strong reviews. Connect Savannah Magazine calls it a “full album of ear candy” and a “shining example of pop songcraft….showcases the band in the best possible light”. The Savannah Morning News writes about the CD “has all the makings of something that's going to pounce onto the pop scene….melodically edgy and smooth….spurs intense rock energy….a voice Britney Spears wished she had, lyrics more mature than Avril Lavine's driver's license and an attitude that could rival Gwen Stefani, Fawcett creates an urge for listeners to tap into their inner rhythm and sing along….listeners are naturally prone to fits of air guitar, head banging and bouncing around. Be warned”. From their second CD the song “Never Let You Go” received strong airplay on Savannah’s #1 Top 40 Station, KISS FM 97.3 in 2005-2006 and was in the Top 5 for the several weeks.
